Who we are and the purpose of the processing

Broadland District Council, Norwich City Council and South Norfolk Council are working together with Norfolk County Council to bring forward the delivery of infrastructure to support the growth as planned in the Greater Norwich Local Plan (GNLP).

This document explains how we, Norfolk County Council, use information in the course of providing the Greater Norwich Growth Board Website. By 'use' we mean what we do with your information, and how we store and share it.

Further Details about Us and Your Rights:

We provide the following details in our general privacy notice on our website:

  • Who we are (and contact details)
  • Your rights under the UK GDPR (including complaints).

How we get your information

We only collect personal information from you, by using our website, or when you raise a query with us.

What we do with your information

We will use your information to:

  • Allow us to respond to a query, (name, contact details, information you include in your query), and
  • Provide this website (IP address).

We also use your information to review the quality of our services and improve how we work.

We also use your information in other ways compatible with the above.

How we share your information

We do not sell your information to other organisations. We do not use your information for automated decision making.

All information is shared on a need-to-know basis. We do not share more than we need to.

We share your information with companies that help us do our job. They also have to keep your information safe and only use it to help us. For example, this includes IT providers such as Microsoft.

Our lawful basis for using your information

We have legal reasons under the UK GDPR to use your information because it is necessary to perform an official function, providing the Greater Norwich Growth Board Website. This has a basis in law per section 216 of the Planning Act 2008 (subject to our CIL policies and regulations).

Retention ('how long we keep your information for')

When the information is no longer needed for the above reasons, it will be securely deleted, or shredded.

Cookie Policy

You can reject non-essential cookies by using the Cookie Control tool on this website. You may also be able to disable cookies within your internet browser settings. Please note, if you block all cookies (including essential cookies) the website may not work as intended.

Useful Information

  • A number of websites provide detailed information on cookies, including AboutCookies.org and AllAboutCookies.org.
  • The European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website Your Online Choices allows you to install opt-out cookies across different advertising networks.
  • Google has developed a browser add-on to allow users to opt-out of Google Analytics across all websites which use it. This is also available in the Chrome web store.
  • Some browsers include a feature known as 'Do Not Track' or DNT. This allows you to indicate a preference that websites should not track you. However, whilst DNT is available in many browsers, websites are not required to recognise its request, so it may not always work. You can get help on how to use DNT in Microsoft EdgeFirefoxChromeSafari and Opera.
  • For more information on how private browsing works as well as its limitations, visit the support pages for your browser: Microsoft EdgeFirefoxChrome, Safari (mobile and desktop) and Opera.
