GNIP Project Pipeline Dashboard accessibility statement
The Greater Norwich Project Team has made every effort to ensure that the GNIP Project Pipeline dashboard is as accessible as possible. However, certain elements remain inaccessible due to limitations within the Power BI software and the specific visual elements used. These limitations are detailed below.
The data in the dashboard is presented in an accessible Greater Norwich Infrastructure Plan 2026 document.
Inaccessible elements:
- Headings: Assistive technologies may not recognise some text as a heading text. This may make the information difficult for some users to understand.
- Scrolling: When zooming in or using devices with smaller screens, you may need to scroll both horizontally and vertically to view all content.
- Line and word spacing: You can't adjust spacing in Power BI. You can do this using external tools, but this may cause some text to no longer be visible.
- Title length: Longer titles may not be fully visible. We've tried to keep titles short where possible to prevent this.
- Font size: Some text may be very small, which may be difficult to read. This is because Power BI doesn't allow us to change text size in some places.
Power Bi accessibility features:
Power Bi has some built-in accessibility features to help everyone use it more easily. This includes:
- High contrast mode: This may make it easier for you to see some content. Learn more about Power Bi high contrast mode.
- Keyboard navigation: Keyboard shortcuts you can use to move around Power Bi without a mouse. Learn more about Power Bi keyboard navigation shortcuts.
- Screen readers: Power Bi works with screen readers to convert text into audio. Learn more about using Power Bi with screen readers.
- Focus and view modes: This may help you focus on specific content. Learn more about Power Bi focus and view mode.
